PPC traffic tracking tool by KeyTrail

We normally don’t review products here but here is a post about KeyTrail. If you are a small or medium size business or a search marketing specialist with limited resources then you need to have a look into this. It gives you control over PPC spend, however small or big and helps you understand the activity top-level as well as down to details such as individual keyword performance across time.
It is a very interesting product for tracking pay per click activity and it does what it says on the tin. Great to see a site that does not over-claim what the product can offer.

Compared to some other major PPC management programmes KeyTrail is short on features but it does not do management, mainly tracking. The visual interface really helps you to understand more about your PPC campaigns, especially the conversion keywords and those of low importance regarding your sales.

The main dashboards are split into the:

  • Visitor Report
  • Sales Report
  • Keyword Performance Report
  • Negative Keyword Report

All the reports have really interesting features with the Negative Keyword report being the most significant. This is because it is so important to know which keywords are not performing and why. Also helps to delete low performing keywords from the campaign that eat away your advertising spend.

Another big plus factor for KeyTrail is price. If you have ever looked into any other tracking or management products you would have noticed that they can be too expensive for the average SME budget. KeyTrail starts from $39.90 and then monthly payments of $9.95 when this went to print. That is great value for money for the reporting and control ability you get in return.
