Major flaws in Facebook ad platform

We highlighted the advanced targeting capabilities of social media platforms in an earlier post. These new platforms have great but limited features when it comes to billing and invoicing.

Facebook in particular has got it all wrong. Instead of making it easy for small companies to advertise, Facebook offer a single payment option of daily billing!

Anyone who has ever run a business or accounts will know that daily billing is a logistical nightmare. Can you imagine having to record 30 transactions per month from a single source? And how about having these monies deducted daily from the company credit card?

We contacted Facebook regarding this and they claim that they can offer alternatives if you spend £5,000 a month per campaign. And my question is: which company in the right mind will throw £5,000 per month into Facebook without testing the waters first? In addition, why not offer a pre-pay option so you can control the amounts and submit payments as and when you see fit?

I suggest that someone talks to Mark about this. He managed to get millions of people signed up. All he has to do now is get thousands of businesses advertising. Because Marky boy credit crunch means it will be a lot harder to get funding in the future mate.
